Reviewing infrastructure or a system already running
Tell us the number of servers, the databases and the current state of your backups. We will propose a review scope that fits.
Call or email us to discuss your organisation's systems. The person who answers can address technical questions; this is not a switchboard.
No documents needed. But having a few of the details below to hand lets the first conversation get straight to the point.
Tell us the number of servers, the databases and the current state of your backups. We will propose a review scope that fits.
Tell us the platform you use now and how many users it has. We assess whether the migration is worth doing, and set out the basis for that conclusion.
Describe the business problem and the systems you already have. The first working session is free of charge.
For most organisations in Vietnam, the largest share of technology spending goes on licence fees for foreign software. That cost recurs every year, rises steadily, and the data sits outside the country.
For every one of those commercial products there is an equivalent open source platform. But knowing the name of the platform solves nothing — what is missing is someone to operate it against a service commitment, take responsibility when the system fails, and stay long enough that the organisation does not have to start learning again every few years.
That is the part we do. We do not sell licences, and we do not take resale commission on infrastructure. We charge for operations — the part that capital alone cannot replicate.
We say so when an item is beyond our current capability, rather than accepting it first and working it out later. The service list on this site is what we can actually deliver today.
Source code, configuration and operating documentation are handed over in full. If your organisation wants to run the system itself or move to another supplier, it can do so immediately, with no need to request its own data.
What falls inside the contract and what is charged separately is put in writing before signing. Scope is not something to argue about in the middle of an incident.
Every option involves trade-offs, and they are written into the service descriptions themselves: open source spam filtering is not as strong as Google's, our infrastructure is not the cheapest on the market, and database migration carries risks that have to be controlled.
These four principles come from the way we think about the work. See our Go thinking →
Operating since 11 June 2019, business registration number 0108779046.
Deployed platforms for online programmes with large numbers of concurrent users within concentrated time windows.
Operated email systems on iRedMail with data held in Vietnam, charged per system rather than per mailbox.
Took on operations for database clusters spanning several different families, for systems requiring out-of-hours cover, with scheduled recovery drills and written records.
Standardised database administration and systems operations into three commitment levels, each with response times and service hours written into the contract.
Built an analytics layer separate from business systems, using bronze – silver – gold layering on open source technology hosted in Vietnam.
Accounting, tax and customs have their own sites and their own teams.
We listen to the problem and define the scope. If it falls outside our expertise, we say so in that session.
